2011rossdaviesRoss is the Lead Program Interpreter for the Kanaka Education and Environmental Partnership Society (KEEPS). He caught his first garter snake when he was 4, and has been seriously interested in anything that walks, crawls, flies or swims ever since. His greatest passion is connecting youth with nature.

Topic-“Bear Necessities” As the Lower Mainland continues to grow, subdivisions are expanding outwards into traditional black bear habitat. This workshop will examine ways that humans and bears can peacefully co-exist. Topics will include common attractants in residential areas as well as ways to help make a bear encounter a peaceful and memorable experience as opposed to a frightening and potentially dangerous one. Participants are encouraged to share their own experiences
